After more then a Decade of making off-road videos, we are contemplating doing our first DVD. I am considering doing a documentary at this years trikefest. We would do action video segments on the various orgonized events, and the spontaneous events that happen annually, something about a flaming burnout and 70cc underground racing. We also want to do some small in-between segments on the people and machines that stand out at the event. Something like a Huevos film, although I am no Wes Miller
I would like to do a professional job on the movie with professional packaging, labeling and disc reproduction. Along with these costs, we are looking at three days of filming with two camera men and three to four weeks of video editing. I am doing this as a professional project, as a keepsake for the people who attend and to help spread the experience or three-wheeler riding and Trikefest with others.
As a professional DVD we will have to find bands willing to license music to us, so no AC/DC sorry, but we will look for a good mix of stuff that doesn't sound like crap.
I'm not taking orders at this time, however, I am interested in the number of people who would be interested in purchasing a 30-45 min. Trikefest DVD. I estimate that it will cost between $15 and $20, depending on the run time of the film, cost for music, etc.
If you would be "interested" in purchasing a copy, please post back.
Here is an example of an action video we recently put together.
