good to see I am not the only one that likes to bring them back to life, now you just need to get a YT175 front end.
1982 Yamaha YT125 tri-moto - Boyesen power reeds, YT175 front suspension, Headlight guard.
    1982 Yamaha YT175 tri-moto - Running but ugly
    1984 Yamaha YT 60 tri-zinger - Boyesen power reeds

    My feedback.

either find the oem front end for it or mod some 200x forks for it. im not sure yet but prob get some X forks since im going to try and find a Pro-Tec suspension kit for it (or try and build one from the pics/diagram i have of it.
its strange how many 125 parts were on this thing when i picked it up.
its almost all back to a 175 now except the front end.

BTW: if any one has plastics (125 plastics with out the vents on the tank cover are fine!) im interested in buying them. as well as a seat, the tube from the air box to the carb and any other nice condition oem/nos parts or ANY aftermarket parts!

Very cool that you're bringing it back to life. 2 friends of mine had YT 175s back in '83-'84; they beat the living hell out of them and the damn things never quit. Everywhere they went it was full throttle abuse to the max. Pretty cool, tough machines. Good luck on your project.
