What is it worth... 1984 200es in sad shape

Just wondering if my agreed price for this machine will match up with the members here. Known info... basically nothing, guy didn't even list engine size, or model, I know it is a 84 200es big red. He don't know anything about the engine. Tires/rims are already sold.

Good news.... I'm getting it for less than the price of the rear end on ebay, bad news is... idk if it is even good lol. Probably going to be another machine I'll be parting out.

There is also a 83 200es near me in worse shape (rear end rusted like mad, bad frame/foot pegs), but the engine looks nicer, they want $200, seemed a bit high priced to me, but if someone needs enough parts off it, I'll get it to sell the parts.. oh also is 3 hours away -___-, but only around $25 in gas round trip .

FYI There s no 83 200ES, Only the 84 200ES, the Big Red for 83 was the 200E and it's Chain Drive, Not Shaft like the 84, and the 85+ is the 250ES Big Red that's Shaft Drive

Ahh ok, Honda didn't have the S on the 83s, I'm not up on the smaller model big reds so much, just knew it was chain drive and 200cc.

The guy is basically delivering, and the price isn't far off from BigRedRider85's post. I'll be seeing it in the morning, if only it wasn't all painted up . My hopes are to break even selling the rear end, and anything extra will be a profit. The trunk lid I need *if* it is good with that engine sitting on it... Might also score 250sx or 350x head lights for cheap (in the photo), that is if they are for sale and for cheap. Since he has so many different models of parts in the same photos, I suspect he might have more stuff that would be worth while messing with maybe.

Well, I'll be seeing it in the morning, hopefully there just happens to be a few extra boxes of parts that go with it .

Thats a 350x headlight. I just won one on ebay for just under $100 and there were 11 bidders.

Yep, trying to get more info on it, and hope the price is something like $20 if it is in good shape. Besides that... my 350x needs a good set, got 2 crappy sets to combine to make 1 that works lol.

    EDIT:

Found some more machines I might have to look at as well O.o, completely missed the listing for a 3 wheeler (Kawi 200) + trail bike (like a honda trail 70?, but kawi) for $150.

darn the guy with the mini bike + 3 wheeler sold the bike, going to pick up the 3 wheeler though for $75

back to the 200es though, bought it in a snow storm lol. It is in pretty bad shape, probably paid too much for it. Got it home, rear axle is bent, top end of the engine was starved for oil, cam has no lobes left, even the cam gear has some heavy wear, timing chain is shot, seems like the intake valve is bent (won't spin, but goes up/down), recoil has pretty heavy wear on the backing plate thing, so it don't really return very well when installed. Cylinder looks pretty good, and I'm hoping the bottom end parts out well.

If anyone needs parts, shoot me a pm, or click the link in my sig for it.

You talking about the header pipe or muffler? Just so you know the muffler looks like something a past owner put together.

I'm guessing your talking about the header pipe, $15 + shipping should be fine. I know it will fit in the med flat rate box, not sure if by weight is cheaper or not. I'm heading to bed now, so possibley when I wake up I can weight it up and get an accurate shipping cost. The header pipe seems to be in pretty good shape, I didn't check it out real close, but it is pretty clear in the 3rd photo.

Funny thing, first thing that came to my mind was Cobra, but there is some jb weld on it and such, so I'm not really sure if it is even a muffler originally setup for a 200es. The little bit of sticker left don't match up with what should be on it, I don't really know the other brands so well to even guess. Anyway check out the pics. It is solid, and I was hoping to get $25 + shipping out of the muffler.

I was thinking the muffler was a Bassani. The inside baffle looks a lot like their design, but im not 100%.

After looking at the bit of logo on that exhaust and thinking of Companys who made aftermarket exhausts for trikes back in the day, I think it's possibly a DG Exhaust.
