    Tri moto reeds?

Are the reeds different for different years or are they all the same?

Not sure of the year as it's up north but it's a yamaha tri moto 175. Where is the year located on the trike as I can get my neighbor to go look at it.

First three digits on the "drivers side" of the jug by the base will tell you the year. 5V7=1982, 20E=1983. The reeds are different for 82 and 83.

The 82 and 83 from my understanding have different cages. I know they are interchangeable as far as the cages go. The petals are not, they fit the years they are on and thats it. For some reason though, all the ones i have are the same. The 83+ style

That's what I have gathered too. I have never seen an 82 reed cage or jug, but my 78 dt175, 83 yt175, and 85 yt125 all share the same reed cage and reeds. Yamaha must have done something different for 82. I would check the numbers on the jug as to be sure it hasn't been swapped our

There's a list toward the bottom of the page that will show the other application those reeds are found in, looks like they're shared with the RT180 for a couple years. Here's the Boyesen part number for that application
