Jason Hall and I had been talking for the last couple years about this build. I finally decided to move forward with it last fall. The goal was to build an OEM style modern Yamaha three wheeler, but with the twist of keeping everything "Bolt-On".
I went with the WR426 because it was cheap. I wanted the WR for the lights and overdrive trans. I really want the 450 but honestly I can't afford it.
Here I stripped it to the frame. Nothing on the frame was tampered with during the build or assembly. All the original bike parts can be bolted back on at any time.
I installed the entire back half of a YFZ on the bike thru careful selection of parts and well thought out mounts and such. Before the pm's hit my inbox I will tell you this is not a simple bolt on and go process. I narrowed the swingarm slightly, made several bushings and adaptor plates, ect.
So, anyhow.... Here it is.

Very awesome, proportions look great and plastic matches very nicely. I'm not even going to ask about the modifications because it has to be one of those things where you are just going to do it and make it work, even if its not easy or there is an easier alternative.

Thanks go out to my best pal Jason Hall for brain storming and talking thru design and engineering with me all the time, as well as making me the sweet triples. Same to Louis Mielke and Garageboy34 for parts and encouragement. Last but not least (even though he never will see it) my friend and local machinist Glenn Steiner for all the help and use of his tools.
