    Official Atc 480r Build

Hey guys. I've finally uploaded the pics of the start of my 2nd gen 480r build. First off I'm using a 1984 Atc 250r frame. I'm swapping out the motor and using a 1982 Cr480r motor. This is the 4 speed version of the 480's(supposedly more torque). The engine is basically completely new. I've gone through it completely and replaced almost everything, crosshatching, reeds, reed cage, etc. Custom +5 swingarm. 1 inch spacers on the axle.

Thats great work!! Awesome design and TIG welding on the swinger!! What did you have to clear on the left side?? Allot of torque to that rear axle!

That motor has a serious light switch power band hit, so hang on!

    Thanks for all the pics!!

I didn't have to clear much since I'm going to leave an open air box. I'm going to have to come up with some sort of foam sponge for when I go to the dunes with it. But other than that clearance issues haven't come up yet.................

ID:	180317I've got some exciting news for the build. When using an '82 Cr480 rear motor mount. The 250r frame accepts the mount as a direct bolt in with the rear and bottom mount. I'm going to have to hog out the center a little bit so the center mount will slide in without ing. Instead of fabricating a blend of the 250r frame mount and 480 mount I can just weld on a bracket for the rear shock. The only concern is the front sprocket clearance with the swingarm. I think it will work but it will be tight.

That pipe was for the 310 big bore 250r, came through nos_350x. custom sectional pipe, i love it!

and on the decomp, i asked the guy doing my engine work if he could do a decomp on an aircooled motor and he said no problem! I am PM'd you his cell phone number, text or call him to see about details and cost but he did my decomp on my 500 and his welds are beautiful
