Any other rear hubs fit a Polaris Scrambler 250 rear axle?

Just like the title says. Im wondering if any other rear hubs will fit the Scrambler rear axle. Im thinking of switching to 9" rear wheels if possible. I dont see any 9's available for the 4 inch bolt circle that the Scrambler has factory. Anyone try anything?

Interesting. But were they 9s and if so can they be found? I believe 84 Tecate is the same bolt pattern as well, but again, no 9s.

Bolt pattern is 4/4. Its in inches not mm, USA bike. It has 10s now. I'm wanting 9s.

4 inches is 101.6mm. Yamaha has some 4/100 wheels. I wonder if that would work? I don't have any. Can anyone try it?

Never gave this much thought. Might have to dig into my stock pile and see what I can find out. I'm pretty sure golf cart rims bolt up, but a lot of those are 8" rims.

Sort of a rigged up way around this. You could get a set of rims in 4/100 then drill the holes out so they fit and get tapered lug nuts so they center them selves. Might not be what you want to do but it works in my mind. Just make sure they are tight.

You can't use the same holes and "drill them out" and use tapered lug nuts. The flat lug nut in that scenario would work better. Or turn the rim away from it's holes and drill the new pattern IN BETWEEN the old pattern. None of that is done well drilling by hand. But people hack away at it very often because of their budget.

    Better to find another solution......

It's been a while since I have had my hubs off but I'm pretty sure that they are the same splines as 200x. If I have time this weekend I can pull a wheel of and make sure.

I was wondering if 4/100 would fit 4/101.6 or maybe if it would fit and be safe with minor filing.

Thanks for the link! I was searching and didn't come up with anything. Dennis Kirk didn't have any and every time I searched 4/4 ATV wheels it would also include 4x4 ATV wheels. Thats more than I want to spend but there is a part number and I found them for a lot less. I'm not sure if they might be out of production or what, stock is pretty slim. It might be now or never on those.

You posted this as I was pulling out of my driveway this morning. I backed up and grabbed a 200X hub and put it in my brothers mail box. I'll call him in a bit and see if he can try it out my Trail Boss parts bike as it is at his house as well. Thanks!

Theres an ebay auction I'm thinking about that ends in 6 hours so time is of the essence. lol.

Well if you filed a 5mm difference it seems 1.6mm would be easy!
I'm still going in about 5 different directions on this. There is a swap meet Sunday, I'll see if I can come up with anything and go from there.
