Picked up a couple more NOS items. The first is the plastic cable guide. This gets a grommet on the small side and then goes over the fuel bung, below the cap. The clutch cable and the throttle cable are then routed under the tank and through the grommet. The second are a pair of NOS Calipers. The Cagiva uses the same caliper on both the front and rear. These were surprisingly hard to locate NOS given that they have only been obsolete about 10 years.

Just got back a group of parts from reproduction. Foot pegs, grab bar, and seat mounts. Big thanks to Andy for loaning me a set of originals for reproduction.

Picked a couple more items up today for the Cagiva. What I have here are the Radiator Guards and the Secure Clips both in NOS. The secure clips are a neat part. They get pushed into a hole on the shroud and then clip onto the metal guards on the back side. A bit overkill, but cool none the less. You can see the clip on the left hand side of the second picture.

Hey Matt, Awesome job tracking down all the NOS parts! That's actually a cable guide for the clutch and throttle cables. There's a little plastic vent the clips on the crossbar for the vent hose.
I stand corrected, Thanks for info Andy! That's the first time I've seen one actually installed, I was just going by the parts manual. I'm guessing most of them got broken or just thrown away over the years.
I gotta say it again, this is an amazing feat, MATT!!
True 3wheeler enthusiast for sure!!
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
If it just simply slips over the bung they probably become a nuisance and fall off every time you try to fill the tank. Or like you said, just broke over time. I'm not sure what they are made of as I have 0 experience with these elephants other than looking at them lol.
One of the longest and most anticipated builds I've ever seen on here. It's getting close!
Don't worry I won't be moving in on your territory but how do you even find all this stuff? Just Googling and calling around or what?

The rear shock is finally complete. A HUGE thanks to Gary at Ohlins for working with me back in forth for a good 6 months of trying to locate parts and refinishing the old ones. Every piece of aluminum has been polished, with fresh zinc on the body and a new spring. Also my photobucket account is dead at this point so , I will be going back through the thread and re-attaching all of the photos.
After 8 months of back and forth the front forks are back from Racetech and look awesome. I got them mounted up tonight along with the refinished wheel assembly and the original Hoosier Tri-Trac front tire. Just need to do the brakes and the front end is completely done.
The sex appeal is off the charts. I want a racy calendar made where each month is it one step in the assembly process and December is when it's in it's full glory. It doesn't even need some loose women sitting on it. It's sexy enough.
Made some more headway. Got the Carlisle tires mounted up to a set of NOS Mitchell wheels. It was a real chore getting these old tires to stretch out to seat the beads. Also have the axle refinished thanks to Mike at VMS. All I am waiting for now is the rear carrier to be buttoned up and it will be up on all 3. Getting close.
Man, those lower fork legs are looooong. Very nice.
