xrider's Tricky Dicks Cagiva Build

After 4 Years, it is finally up on all 3 wheels. Huge thanks to Andy for loaning me another carrier for reproduction. Turns out there were 3 different versions of the carrier. I happened to make the 2 wrong ones the first time around. Got the new carrier back this week and it worked out perfect. Installed the carrier bearings, carrier, chain adjusters, rear axle assembly, ohlins shock, swingarm decals, and swingarm bolt covers.

Got the NOS tank emblems and the reproduction decals installed. The emblems are super nice on the Cagiva. They appear to be solid brass that was hand painted in the recess. They really set the tank off.

WOW! I am beyond impressed right now. The detail in this build could not be any better. You parts search must be similar to a hunting expedition I had in Montana, hunting wild unicorns.

We all know this is an amazing feat to accomplish these years, and I can't image anyone being able to do it again.

One of the best part of these rare builds is you guys who do these rare builds, you reproduce some of the parts as well as find things that work and are correct.

Small update. I was able to source a NOS clutch lever assembly over the holidays. Got the NOS cable and lever assembly installed today. Hope everyone is having a nice holiday.

So glad I came across this post again, had not seen the progress in over a year. Looking amazing, Great work!

I had a good bit of luck sourcing the remaining items for the front. Found a mint number plate, NOS number plate decal, and mint front caliper. Got everything refinished, installed, and bled. The front end is now complete. Down now to just the seat cover, airbox, and rear brake system.
