    350x front fork on 250sx

Is it possible to use a 350x front suspension on a 250sx frame? Would like to run it both for its improved suspension and its disc brake.

may have to mod the trips not sure on that i know 350x bolts right on 200x.
id go 82- 250r the shocks are way better than sx, cheaper, you get a disc and keep the fatty tire best of all

The 350X front end is a direct bolt on and the triples fit with no problems however, you have to fabricate and weld on a steering stop to the front of the SX frame neck. You also have to run the forks up in the triples about 1.5" to get the ride height right. The 200X forks also bolt up but the basic fork is not much better than the stock SX forks but you do get the benefit of the hydraulic brake. The 350X forks do change the rake angle just a tad because you would be going from trailing axle to a leading axle. I have don't a couple of SXs with the 350X front end.

FlyingW; your trike.... WOW. I'm about to start building a 1985 from the frame up. I have no forks so I was definitely wanting to use 350x forks. Thanks for all the info. If you have a chance, do you think you could take a picture of the frame stop fab? Appreciate it.

Send me your mailing address and I'll send you one. I cut some out at work on the waterjet and I have a couple left. It gets welded dead center about 1/2" up from the bottom.

When installing the stop, I would suggest installing the triples and tack the fork tubes in the triples. Set the gas tank on the frame in its installed position. Now you can fine align the stop so the fork tubes swing equally on both sides and the fork tubes clear the tank equally on both sides. I should have made the stops just a tad wider.

Coincidence? I just finally welded my stops in tonight. Rode it all summer without them saying I would be careful and put them in later. Ended up putting a little ware in the tank but its finally done.

Hey Kebby I know it's been a while since you posted on this thread, but I was wondering what size tires you went with front on back on your bike? I plan on doing the same mod to my 250 big red. It looks amazing
