Cant wait to see this beaut done man,,, the term "done" being used lightly.

Now things are getting going... Dropped frame at powdercoaters today. Also got my new pipe in the mail, will get that done soon. Probably going to make the bends in the back half of the header, then weld it to the U. Also going to drop off the front hub, lower fork legs, and motor mounts at the coaters today.
    Pipe (yes, its a towel)

    Looks good!

I had to put a tube in my front tire and let it sit pumped up before it was shapely enough to seat. Ratchet strap wasn't doing me any good. They straighten right out once pumped up though. I was frustrated enough to consider the lighter fluid route

Well, the tires turned out to be a two person job. One hand to hold the chuck on, the other three to bounce and work the rubber. Eventually, after about 10 minutes, we got the other two mounted. This was after I tried for about an hour and a half to do it myself. I was ready to throw the tires through my garage door windows.
Here they are now... 21 PSI in the backs right now, about 3-4 in the front.

Swingarm is ready for white powder, dropping it off tomorrow. It had gotten a little surface rusty (and I think it looks really bad!!!!) since it sat in the 70 day temps to 35 nights in a humid garage, even with WD40 on it. Nothing a lil Steelprep (http://www.enchemcorporation.net/ind...?pageID=8435_2) wont fix. The picture makes the weld on the fish plate look rough IMO but it is actually pretty darn nice, it has been ground down flat a little.

As soon as the tapered stem bearings and front bearings come in, we'll be in business for the back.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but the engine is coming completely apart (unless I dont have time before the Ashtabula nationals), eveything removed, re-blasted, and painted. Probably not going to do PC. Need it to be a flat black, like the original was.

Told you guys that the chemicals (phosphoric acid in this case) would clean that right up. Compare to my above post

I've rolled around in the floor with some stubborn tires myself. Was always in a hurry to mount up new ones.Best solution is to let them sit with something spreading them.Looking good!
