    1987 Honda 200X

    Hello All,
I have a all stock 1987 Honda 200X, I did not know it was even fairly rare until I started reading on this site, I was trying to find reviews on tires for this trike, because the originals finally wore out and they needed replacing. The bike is completely original and the only problem I have with it is the headlight lens has a crack in it, the headlight and hi beam still work, just the lens is cracked.

What is this trike worth these days?

    Thanks all,

    Rick

I literally just got a 85 200x last weekend and it has small maxxis razors. Feels real good with the smaller tires, there not so great for mud or loose sand though. I paid 575 for my bike in really good condition. I woulda easily paid 600-800$

I got 22in dirtdevils on mine, had 18in turf tammers too. all depends on how you ride really, my turf tammers were great on the track near me (except in the sand strip behind the trach) ive moved more into general riding and trail riding nowa days so the dirt devils work great. Just my Opinion, eventually Id like to get some 20in razrs on it

    I got 800 for a well used 85.
I wonder if the 1987 factor means anything more?
    Last year made?
Wonder what the production numbers were.

Old thread I know, but we never got pics!...

Yes the 87 factor means more. Of the trikes that have been PROVEN to be available for sale in the u.s., the 87 200x is the rarest.

The 85 200x is probably one of the least rare, I'm not sure about that. They have been referred to as "a dime a dozen" lol.....

A true 1987 X in excellent all original condition can easily sell for over $5000. And more.

Yes it did and it also had Mikes name on it. Anyone looking knew without a doubt that it was perfect. It was also in my opinion more new than restored because many of those parts were NOS, excellent point though. That particular bike is worth much more than ten thousand in my opinion.

I agree with you 100%. If I remember correctly, prior to this most recent sale, another had been sold for an astounding $14,000.

If it's in decent shape I would say it's worth about $2000.

It seems like there are more 87 200Xs than 87 Tecates IMO, what do you think DOHC?
