Shouldnt be a problem removing that choke plunger. Drill a tiny hole in it, a slightly bigger torx bit into it, and use an impact gun and get it to spin and break free.

I dropped the ball on reporting him to eBay. I was half asleep when I opened it and looked at it. Left him feedback right away. Didn't see the flaws until the next day.

As for ing a torx bit into it. LOL. That sounds sketchy as hell! I may mess with it. I'm just going to wait til I can afford one of FlyingW's carbs.

Edit - No offense intended, Jason. For me to attempt the torx bit trick would be sketchy. I would most likely damage the carb even more. I have no doubt your method is proven. I just don't want to be the guy to destroy it completely. It's better left to someone with experience.

Contact Jim (Flyingw) show him the pic of your carb, and explain to him what's up. He is the carb guru, and may be able to rebuild yours, and extract the broken choke.

I just want to say. I'm truly feeling the love and brotherhood our community has to offer. You simply cannot find the amount of generosity or basic human compassion and kindness anywhere else. I hope to make it to TF to meet all of you truly amazing people and shake your hands.

I've searched a bit and can't find an answer...

Will 200X fork tubes fit the 250SX triples? I got my 200X front end tonight. If I don't have to tear into the triples yet, I'd like to wait til I can afford some All Balls for it.

Not sure, but i did just put a 200x front end on my sx last summer. Be aware you will need to grind off a bunch of the sx steering stop, then add a steering stop to the front of the neck for the sx tripples. If nobody chimes in soon i can run out to the garage and measure the tubes on both forks.
86 tri z - might be nearly done throwing money at it! (good thing, the hondas are getting jealous!)
    86 250sx - old reliable
83 atc 70-new project for me and the boy
    another 82 110
a bunch of golf carts for the wife and kids
    -gone but not forgotten-
    82? 110 - why did i sell it??
    84 225dx - meh, it was a pile

MRSOUND informed me if I leave the SX triples on I'd require spacers on the axle to use the 200X hub. I'm going to just do the conversion with the loose ball bearings for now and get some All Balls after the rest of the machine is squared away. I wanted to use the SX headlight too. So I may try to modify the SX bracket.

I was able to use the sx headlight on mine, it fit a little funky but not that noticeable once it's on. I also used the sx fender, but there's only 2 screws holding it on.

Wow!!! FlyingW!!! Your work is absolutely amazing!!! You made my week, good sir!
Waiting on the choke cable and plunger. I have to hook the wiring back up and rig a fuel supply. Then I can see if this thing actually runs. I did see a few oil puddles under it now that it's been sitting on the lift. One on each side of the engine and one under the differential. I hope it's just gaskets. If he sold me a cracked motor. I'll be upset with myself for not looking it over closely. I'm having a hell-of-a hard time finding SX rubbers for the headlight and seat.

Wisconsinite. Can you share some pics of your conversion and the SX light on it?

    Actually... I can't be mad. It's still a Honda.

    #'s 11, 16, and 17. My straps are perfect!

Funny thing. I didn't think to check Bike Bandit. I seem to forget about them. I use a couple others for the most part but even then I hate that they overcharge for shipping so I tend not to even check those sites.

Well shoot,,, thought the Mrs. could be of some help there.
Yes, often the smallest of things needed turn out to be the hardest items to get ahold of.
