I saw some pictures a while back where a guy slaved some shocks onto the forks, by that i mean he left the stock shock and spring inside but put a shock on the outside with mounting points added to the forks and the tubes. Seems like it worked well but i lost track of the guy that did it and the pictures i had in an email over the years. I always thought about trying that with mine. Maybe leave the shock and spring inside as the shock is needed to keep it all aligned, but disable the stock shock by drilling a hole in it to let out any pressure remaining? Then the added external shock and the internal spring does the work. I don't know still a work in progress in my mind. Since the original style ones aren't made any more we don't have much for options.
They are about the size of some hood support shocks, though they don't have the correct mounting on either end, could be made to work with a little fabrication though.

Make sure you know what you have. Talk to tiger guys that aren't looking to buy anything and ask values. As much as I love this site, there are people here that will gladly take the parts for less than they are worth with no intention of letting you know what you have.
Haven't had time to sort parts out or decide what I want to keep and not keep shawn77 parts you mentioned are still yours if interested were currently living at father in laws and I got stuff kinda scattered everywhere I'm sorry but its kinda ill get to it when I get to it. Sounds kinda blunt but not really left with a choice :s
We did get to go up the mountain with the family today and me and my brother last minute decided to bring the trike
Here's the only pic I took of it today
It still needs work but we wanted to ride it. Surprisingly quick in low range. Dident try it in high or reverse since the shifter is stuck
Pops wheelies on demand lol
Had fun with it. First real kinda run with it since we had it
That's all for now
Dave
Doesnt look to bad! Surprised the Hi/Lo shifter didnt loosen up with some use, will it pull up to shift or won't it move at all?

It will pull up. But to go forward and back between gears takes all my strength.
We're at father in laws to save a down payment. The goal is to buy a house with a shop/garage so we have space to store and work on the toys.
Right now the trikes are somewhat scattered about under tarps so there a bit of a pain to get to
Big red fired on first pull yesterday after sitting for quite some time
Need to see if this battery will take a charge or just replace it.
Dave
Ok, it shouldnt take that much force, one question though. Are you trying to shift the sub trans with the main shifter in neutral? The best way i have found on the 200ES is with it running and in first gear, not moving just idling, then the sub trans meshes back and forth like butter.

Yea I've tryed neutral and in first to shift it
My parts trike it shifts smooth as butter
Well we got to go out again yesterday. My mom took our daughter and we got to have some adult time up the mountain lol
Not many pics or action shots. But if anyone else is like me pics are good
It was 5 degrees out and pissing rain almost decided not to go cause of it. But decided we had a babysitter for the day we'd hit the road anyways
Not even 10 min up the logging road and the rain turned to snow
Stopped a little further up to wait for others
We took the trike out to play for an hour or so. But mostly stayed in the trucks. Further up it was getting close to 2 feet deep
All in all was a good day and was worth heading up even though it was pissing rain to start
Dave
Well this thing has needed a air filter since I got it. Has one in it but I'm not happy enough with its condition
I found this one on eBay http://www.ebay.ca/itm/200775466068
It's cheaper then ones that come up when I search "200es air filter"
But from what I've read this should be the same
Opinions ?
Thanks
Don't use that filter... Tried it myself, didn't fit. What you need is the foam one that goes on the air filter frame that sits in the airbox.
The UNI filter is the best in my opinion, perfect fit, has the hole in the end for the bracket to screw in. The Moose one is ok though and a little cheaper, but its hit or miss on the hole though you can carefully make it yourself.

Thanks for the reply. My first choice was the uni but price seemed alright on that other
went ahead and ordered http://www.ebay.ca/itm/290932807400
Thanks
As I usually say lol an update is an update as minimal as it is.
Plus I enjoy pics regardless what they are
It's here came a lot quicker then I expected
Now filter oil question should I use proper air filter oil
Or is like 90w gear oil ok ?
Thanks
Dave
i use air filter oil or engine oil on 4 strokes, no gear oil. the newer plant based air filter oils like NO TOIL are good.
air filter oil article.
http://motocrossactionmag.com/Main/N...-OIL-8132.aspx
The uni filters usually recommend 80w gear lube but i find that makes them too gooey in cold weather so to speak. I usually just soak in some good 5w-30 and squeeze out the excess and its good to go. When it comes time to clean it a bucket of hot water with some dawn dish soap and wringing it out like a sponge til clean gets the job done for me, then soak in oil and squeeze out again before installing. After letting it air dry a few hours of course.
