I fixed my footpegs yesterday, got them all built back up. They seem to have turned out nice. I painted in the afternoon, so I will assemble them today and get a couple pics. I have not been doing much on the frame as I need to get to town and get some more blasting sand. Our weather has been awful, cold and last night and yesterday we got another, 4-6 inches of snow. They are saying upper 30's today. Gonna try and get my NASA axel cleaned and polished today.

Clayton, remember the building I was working on last May, I think we had the office part kinda done. We worked all summer and I have a new shop. I love it. I am so glad I had it this past winter with all those -20 and -30 days and nights. Got alot of sleds done and engines rebuilt in it already.

Me and my build are still alive.
Wow time flies, I had to put my own trike builds on hold for a little while and focuss on doing stuff to pay the bills. I did get the grab bars welded up last week. I bought a big blasting cabinet also, works nice for everthing but frames not quite big enough. I have been riding some, so thats a good thing.

Been getting some small stuff done for this. Finally got a perfect headlight shell also. Been so busy with work, my own stuff gets back shelved. I also got a new axle for this, it is a plus 2 or 4 it is 3 inches wider than stock so go figure. It is super beefy, makes the NASA look little and the factory one look like a toothpick. It is the same size from the center to the hub area pretty much. Uses giant castle nuts. Came with some old school big hubs, but I am going to run the 400 ex ones I have insted. That with the ex rims will put me about 9 inchs wider than stock.

Well I spent a good chunk of the other day working on this. I got the frame in primer. I had a mess, all the bare metal was rust and the paint was really chipped up, with alot of surface rust in every weld and angle. I sandblasted the entire thing down to bare metal, then scuffed it up for the finish to adhear. Looks nice. I may get up early and make it red, takes a few hours with the paint and clear. We have real low humidity right now so I need to take advantage of it. I will get some new pics up soon also.
I think my new axle may be a dura blue

I got up early the other day and was painting by 8. just finished the last coat of clear in little under 2.5 hours for paint and clear. I have about 8-10 hours in this frame alone, with drilling and cleaning out broke off bolts, fixing welds, re welding brackets and then all the sandblasting , prep and primering. I think it turned out real nice, it sure is shinny and red. Feels good to have this hurdle done. I will take some pics and get them up later. I should get my 85R frame done right away while I am at it. .

Here are a few pics of the new axle. It is beefy and wider.

Thats it for now, frame is dry and ready for assembly to start. I still need chain sliders and pivot bushings, but think I have everything else. Need to redo a tank yet also.

Looks great Ahren! You will need that 300 kit to hang with Gary and Tommy on their 250's.

I figured I better make sure this trike was mine and went to get it registered today. Like most of my trikes I am the first registered owner. I figured that would be the case with this one as it was a race trike, and was never trail ridden. I went with a private reg. since this trike will not ever be trail rode, but wanted to get it in my name. With all the rare parts and time I will have in to it I can ride other ones on the trails. I will still ice race and maybe do some drags with it through. I did register my 85R for the trails today and that one the frame is not even done yet. the 85 was never registered either, so I am the first owner on that one as well.

Got a fare amount done on this tonight. My wife helped and it went pretty good. We got the engine in and the entire front end on, along with some other parts. I used a dull Maier front fender for the 85-86 R to match the low pro rears if I run them. Will take some pics tomorrow.
