A fellow board member contacted me with a question asking if I could make this intake boot thicker in the area the carb slips into so I decided it was just off the wall enough for me to try.
It is sized for 32-34 mm and with the lip area carb fits into being so thin it will rip once a 38mm carb is stuffed inside. So I am going to do a over pour using the resins I use in making Tecate carb boots.
Kinda figured this fits the "Mad Scientist" qualifications

I determined the intake boot was a shore 70ish hardness so I ordered up shore 70 resins. Ruffed up area I want material to stick and mold released all other areas I don't want the urethane rubber mix to stick too (figured I would basically make a controlled mess and I did).
Well the rest you can see what I done by the pictures.
We shall see how it turns out tomorrow night,,,,
