    More progress!

Well its been a while since my last post but I have been working on this little guy again. Still working on figuring out the wiring harness but I should be done today with that. Also Was wondering if anyone has pics of cut rear fenders as I am not a huge fan of the wrap around (part that's between the front of back tire and your foot) fender look and was think of cutting them but would like to see pics. Also what are you guys using for petcocks as the atc 70 tank has two spouts and the new vm26 carb doesn't have the built in petcock like the stock carb.

    Thanks

I just put a 1 inch piece of hose with a metal plug on the "on" spigot of the gas tank and used the reserve spigot going straight to my mikuni vm roundslide. I use a small set of match plastic pinch off pliers as a shut off. Also I was able to dent in the inside of the tank enough that I didn't have to use any washers under it. The carb tucked underneath nicely.Click image for larger version.

    cool

Cool, Thanks guys for the info and pics. I just ended up plugging the second line also. Well, she is done! I am very happy with how it turned out. I just need to make some jetting changes and I may adjust my brackets to bring the front part of seat back down. Other than that I am done

Here is what the final product looks like, its not a show bike but I like how it turned out.

Looks good man i love 70's I have 250rs too but the bike70 gets all the attention. Not gonna run a front fender on that badboy? It might help with cooling if you do it like I did mine, it acts like a scoop for air.Click image for larger version.

Well took it out for a few runs and holy crap this thing is quick! Unless you are on flat ground 2nd is the gear to be in. On rough surfaces the bike seems too short and starts bouncing from lack of suspension and gets a little hairy. Other than that its a blast to ride. I will be looking at adding suspension at some point but for now will enjoy what I have.

Very nice, I’ll be doing a 140 soon, still gathering parts, and I would also like to know where you got the front brake setup.
