Saw some exhaust blowing by the front of the engine in the video. Maybe it needs a copper exhaust washer between the header and head.

What is going on is the header pipe is not square to the gasket "Fresh Air In"........I hope the smoke issue will go away with the new seal! Time will tell !! She is a Super Fast STARTER!!! I HOPE NOTHING IS REALL WRONG INSIDE

I've had pipes that do this because every bend, length and mounting isn't perfect in every application.

I heat them up with oxy/acet and bang them around with a big rubber mallet (with my boot), to set it into where IT WANTS to go to seal up correctly......

On this pipe I'm going to cut off the last 9'' of the pipe and flip it 180 and re-weld !! this will move the pipe out and around the frame! it's a huge pipe ! this should work

I am absolutely amazed that this is a relatively easy swap ( No discredit to your work though!! )

At LEAST 3 guys said, "It cannot fit, it will not work etc etc" and I figured they knew what was up.

But here's to you that didn't probably even read those posts and got it done!! What a fine lightweight 86 200X you have now in the same family as the 250SX which is quite a bit heavier......

    WELL DONE!!!!!

I had an 86 200sx. GREAT little bike! Sat for years with water in the engine before I got it. Still ran like a Honda after a couple oil changes. Super cool little build, Duece!!!
