Looking to ship a trike as cheap and worry free as possible....

I am in the process of buying a trike in Atlanta, Georgia. And I am looking to find the cheapest method of getting it shipped it shipped to North Bay, Ontario. So far I have enquired with two trucking companies and a facebook member which I am awaiting a responce from. If anyone has a better shipping option or is travelling to Toronto, Ontario or further north, let me know if you are able to haul and we can talk business.

You can always use. USHIP. I have had good luck with them. They can place bids for you and such kind of like ebay for shipping. With reviews and stuff. Here is a little thing on there webpage about shipping internationally with them. http://www.uship.com/learnmore/tspcanadalearn.aspx

Well, I was hoping to keep it on the down low so that I won't have a competition problem, but here we go anyways... Maybe it will help...

I was notified that a Mint Avenger Big Foot was for sale... The price is suitable to it's condition. The probpem is getting it to me. I may have to improvize and borrow a small hatchback car and go down to pick it up. Some dissesembly may be required....lol

Seriously, another one! You're obviously making too much coin out here. Remember the land of misfit toys on the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Show from the 60's. I think your creating the land of misfit trikes; 4 Taurus', 2 Pacesetter's and now a Avenger, lol.

You could always fly down, rent a truck or van. And drive back. I'll bet you could find a few places to stop at for the night with other forum members.

Shipped an ATC 70 from Ohio to Pembina ND last Christmas for $400. Used Fed X. Not too bad of a deal.

I may be able to help. I'm trying to put a North Carolina trip together in the next month. Even better than that I may be headed to Sioux narrows to fish! Let's talk soon. I'm always happy to help!

Ive told this to coolpool in a chat a month ago. I find Taurus's here and there in barns. Had no idea there was someone out there wanting them. I passed on two last year side by side in a barn for 200.00 in IN. There just not my thing. Next time I'll bring them home and you can have what you need off them.

As far as shipping I would have it crated. I ship crated bikes and atc's for 450.00. Just shipped another one last week. 421.00. Getting it across the border is a little more change. I've had one shipped down to me in 2011. It was 180.00 more if I remember right.

You could rely on the trike underground.. might take a few months to meet up w the trike but there are alot of 3ww guys that travel around!
my miniT3 was purchased by sending $$ to a friend he roadtripped to see it, stored it then I got it at TF11 8 months later! He even made sure it was running awesome for me! My Scat Tracker was about the same but w a different 3ww member, I sent cash, he picked it up, his kids test ride it and he didnt like the brakes so he fixed that for me, I picked it up on way to a TF07..
GOT TO LOVE THE TRIKE UNDERGROUND!!!

Lol, yep the odd and unusual for me...lol

Many people collect the easy to find and restore... I like a little challenge.
You have to scoop them up when they show up. I don't know about ya'll, but I regret missed opertuneties.

This trike however is a very rare find. Considering the shape it is in, the odds of finding another like it are... Slim, wouldn't you say?
Hell, to get it the way it is now for a grand or less would be impossible.
I will be moving back to North Bay in the next month or two with the current work coming to an end and the next job being fly in and out camp. Once I am back in Ontario, I will be able to take the day trip down and a day back.
It will cost me around $600 in fuel using just my truck. According to gas buddy trip calculator.
So that ain't so bad. 17 hours one way.
All that is left now is to wait till I get the call back from the seller wednesday afternoon to see
If everything is going to work out.

    Wish me luck.

So, looks like I will have to let this bigfoot go. With the Taurus parts buyout, I have to concentrate on saving for some trailers.
