I think a 125 would be cool too but then it would more than likely just be a full size bike with a small engine. The 2 I am working on now are based off kx 100's

I agree with not wanting a full size chassis with a little engine.

I looked into the KX100 and Im interested as well. I think it makes a great intermediate size trike that I could fit on at least halfway decent. I assume you are using the kx front frame loop as well and adding trike triples and swinger, Ben?

I have let quite a few board members ride my miniT3. Its cool as hell to watch the smile they have when they get off it!
it is the 2nd hardest reving 2 stroke that I own. You think your about to shift cause of the size of it then all of a sudden it gets up on the pipe and takes off! Its an absolute blast to ride!
think it might have to make its way back to indianna, to TF15!

Ben, what do you think of a kx100 in a first gen frame. They both use the single down tube with the angled exhaust, or is it just too small of an engine for the size of the bike?

interesting thought but the engine would too far back in the frame for the exhaust to go around the down tube and would need a completely custom pipe. I am having the same issue with another project, the plan was to put a 1st gen kxt 200 engine in a 2nd gen frame. I have the frame done for the swap but now I need a big $$$ custom pipe to finish it. Here one of the 100's Ive been working on Click image for larger version.

I'm always thinking up what I think are great idea's that die as quickly as they were dreamt up, as soon as I get to the exhaust part. I wish I knew how to make my own exhaust. The kx100 looks cool and I like the second gen aluminum swinger.

Well I too got to thinking after watching the video of that race in Miami, I have been thinking of making a smaller full suspension trike for my boys... they love to ride the 125cc pit trike we have.

Well I saw this little gem on Craigslist today and talk it down a little. It's not running cause the side case needs to be welded

I have access to some 200x parts... I think it's gonna be great!

That little husky would be pretty cool in trike form. I cant think of anything from a 200x that would be very useful though. The swingarm wouldn't allow for any chain adjustment and the triples are raked and wouldn't work well on a bike frame. I have to pull the engine on one of the 100's for a rebuild BKM,when I do I can set it in a 1st gen. frame to see if I'm right about it being too far back. It may be back far enough for the pipe to clear on the inside of the downtube.

The 200x swinger will be to wide I noticed last night. I think i can weld a carrier from a 110 to the end of the current swinger. I'll figure out a triple tree. Good news is the little husky has no shifting and kicks forward to start.

This is the look that I'm shooting for with my 125.

Doesn't look like too much in this picture but I now have the front end done and am plagued with the infamous 'seized swingarm bolt' dilemma (and have been for the past 3-4 months). A Tri-Z front end was a direct swap and the steering stops worked and the triples even cleared the rads on each side. Just gotta get new stem bearings though and it'll be halfway there.

But I do know where one that was an original racer is sitting

Not sure what year CR he used for this one though because of the white shrouds and I couldn't see back to the rear end to see if it was right or left side drive

For the swingarm, I have a complete blaster swinger/carrier/axle laying around that I plan to mod up and go to a no link rear suspension with

Be aware that the tri z triples have 8 degrees of rake in them and you will probably have to make some frame mods for them to work right. That is what I used on my rm 80 conversion and It took a bit to make it handle right. If I still owned it they would be the first thing to go. If anyone is interested in a mini 2 stroke trike, I have a Kx 60 that could be converted. The price would depend...

Thanks for the tip Ben! I knew they had some rake in them, and the 82 125 has a good bit of rake itself. So I figured if have to do a little tweak to get the trail back where it needs to be. Do you think the fact the Z is trailing axle will help any?

Since my kart mill 02 CR85 burnt a few weeks ago, I may even convert it over and keep the USD forks. Depends on if there was un-seen damage done to the swingarm in the fire.

ID:	206634I used a 86-87 200x carrier, axle, and built a custom Swingarm on this little CR60/zinger. The 86-86 200X carriers are getting hard to find, but the are the narrowest carrier I have been able to find with the easy concentric chain adjustment. I actually cut the rear carrier section off of a stock 86 200X and made the front pivot collars, then used the CR60 bearings so the Swingarm bolt would fit the frame.
