So I have this neat old skid plate that came on a 185s that I bought a while back, I like it so much I thought I'd duplicate it with some slight modifications. The original attached to the footpeg crossmember with some goofy little rubber expansion nuts, that had long since disintegrated. I changed those holes to line up with the inner forward peg mounting bolts. The front mount uses the Lower engine mount bolt which seems to work well, so I kept it. There is just enough length on the factory bolt. I used 10 guage sheet, which is slightly thicker than the original, and I think they came out pretty bomber. Let me know what you guys think, I am contemplating making some more of these if there is enough interest, and what would you be willing to pay? These will fit all of the 185 and 200's I believe. Here's some pics of the old and new, and the new one mounted on my 200es and 185s.
