Welding isn't beautiful but I'll be honest some of this was a real challenge.

I designed them and had a buddy CNC machine them.

A tiny update, I've worked some on the oil lines but this build is on hold for a moment until some parts I purchased make their way to me at Trikefest.

I think this is the best looking conversion I've seen yet.

Just a quick update. I finaly got the front end squared away on the 400 build. The rear shock needs rebuilt/resprung but this picture represents final stance/geometry pretty well. Hope to pull the engine out this weekend and start figuring out what parts I need for a rebuild on my reverse bottom end I picked up at Trikefest.

I just perused your thread, and man, you've done a great job! I've been thinking about doing a 400ex conversion, and this is a wealth of info!

I'm not dead nor is this build. It actually is finished other than cosmetics and it made it through TF19 without any issues. I still need to break it back down for powder but I'm very happy with it!

Any chance i could get some info on where you got the head tube from for the forks?

I harvested the headtube from a damage 350x frame. If I was to do it over again I'd go with a larger dirtbike head tube, probably from a steel frame CR125 or CR250
