    86/87 200x crank rebuild

Had two cranks one with a bad rod and one with bad clutch side threads .
As most know parts are impossible to find for the 86/87 model .
Customer found new bearings so it's rebuild time .

I wanna find a rod that I can make a stroker out of. Everyone RUINS the right side threads (why consult the manual??) but there has to be a way to stroke it!!

    Nice work SL!!!!

Yea you just weld a plug in the pin hole and off set bore it how far you want to stroke it and heat the rod up and shrink it
If its on the internet its got to be true they can't put any lie's on the internet

Sounds easy but it has to be in a jig to do that properly and keep it all even and parallel.

Shortline, did he re0use the rod and pin? It appeared so and that stuff is discontinued......

    Thanks,
    Steve
