    225dx wheel spacers?

I am looking for wheel spacers for my 84 225dx. Or if I could find hubs that would fit with the same bolt pattern as my 86 200x that would work too.

theres a few on ebay some are over 100 bucks, some are just under ($79-99) don't buy those ones that just look like long nuts that thread onto your studs... they look like they will snap off the first time you ride! I got some 3" wide spacers off ebay that Im going to be using.. they are solid aluminum and I had to knock out the studs in my hubs and use longer bolts... bad part is I had to drill out the holes in the rims a tab bit so the bolts fit. but its ok because I also have the Blaster 4 bolt rims and hubs that's on it now if I don't like these. tri-z rims will fit the blaster hubs also, they are 4x100 bolt pattern...not sure if the hubs from a tri z will fit the axle though, but I know the Blaster hubs work. so you can look for wheel spacers for your stock 3x100 bolt pattern or go to the blaster hubs / rims and look for 4x100 bolt pattern spacers too.

^x2, 3 bolt spacers are made by durablue. however blaster hubs and rims are stupid cheap most of the time, stock blaster hubs with the rims flipped should gain you 2-3 inches of width on each side.
with that noted, banshee and yz450 hubs/rims are a direct swap to the dx axle spline also!!!!
there is quite a huge after market for the blasters, banshee, yz450.

just flipping the stock dx rims will give you 3 inches more width total.

Hmmm wish I knew about the yz450 and Banshee hubs when I was looking for blaster wheels / hubs lol Actually I cant really complain, I got two blaster rims with IPT holeshots with like 85% or better thread on them for like $70.00.. the only bad side is they are only 18" tires not 22"

awesome deal, that's what one of those tires alone cost new!
yeah the 18"s are good for trails and wheelies, but limit the top speed to 35-40mph with a 180-200lb rider.

    you callin me fat??
    lol
it doesn't matter if you are cause I am...lol and I don't care.

Anyhow, the reason im not too happy with them, even though they do look good, is the fact that the tri z front end I have has a 24" wheel on it...lol so its kinda funny looking with these little back wheels sitting there, looks like a drift trike like the kids ride. im gonna try it with the 22-11x8's and spacers to see how that works. I had them on before and it seemed a lot harder to turn with but then again I had one wheel flipped around cause the orig owner put the tire on in the wrong direction...lol so one side had the 3" spacer and the other had the 3" spacer plus a flipped rim giving it at least 2 more inches!

I think a 20" tyre would be better because I Have 22s on mine and I have to keep a lot of pressure in them because I get heaps of tyre roll but since you already have them report back how they go!!

Me too! Yay lol. Im 6'3, 200lbs......so Imagine me flying around on a kdx50 at 45mph. I still ride mini's all the time! Just figured at my weight, thats a decent amount of load/gravitional drag on any ATV/bike.

I've got a decent setup on my 84 dx225, that being said. I think 1st gear is useless and that 5th should get you to 65 rather than 52 on my setup. Really wish we could source a different axle gear ratio.
I have short sidewall 22x12x8 field trax in back and a normal sidewall 22x11x8 carlisle and i get 50-52mph pushing 5th gear to 98% of it's rpms on gravel or pavement.

lol 52 is plenty fast for these trikes, esp when riding trails where you would hardly even see enough space to get into 5th gear!
And worse, seeing that here in CT there's truly no legal place to ride and almost no illegal places to ride, my three acres of mostly wooded property only lets me see 3rd gear for a second or two...lol Oh, But once in a while Ill rip once or twice up and down the dirt driveway next door though, that's fun for about a minute! lol Hopefully all works out with putting the 22-11x8 back on if not ill put the 18's back on and call it a day! the worst part is, right down the road there's the electric company's property which has been nicely built into a cool MX track / trail but there's no way I can find to get in there with a trike or quad. on a dirt bike, you can ride right through the fence between the fence post and gate post on most of the access roads, I see people going in there all the time. and they have been doing it for years now. the DEP cops will sometimes sit and wait if they see a truck with ramps or a car with a trailer parked in the dirt lot near it...lol waiting to catch riders who come out of the woods.

We've got rivers a plenty edged with woods, wide open river sand, gravel roads are everywhere, even bluffs here and there for nice dirt trails. So we haul ass!

well Im STILL in the battling stages of getting these 22" wheels on the DXN...
I had cleaned up and painted the 8" stock DXN rims and mounted the tires with tubes in them and they worked well for a night. the next day I let most of the air out and tightened up the nuts on the air stems and re filled with air and that's when it happened... the tube, inside the rim at the valve stems must have been crooked or twisted or something and when I tightened up the nuts (hand tight) and re filled them with air, they must not have had any play in them as they had when loose and the tube ripped itself from the stems!! so now I am awaiting some rim / tire bead sealer and ill put them back on tubeless for now and see how it goes. they only had a minimal leak in them before so it may be good with the bead sealed!

got the bead sealer, put the tires back on the rims, sealed the beads...so far so good. I did have one spot that was pretty cut up, it looks like the old owner used a screwdriver (Huge no no) to mount the tires!! any how, I put sealer on the bad parts let it set for a spell then put sealer around the beads filled the tires up w/ air and checked for leaks, one spot was leaking so I let the air out, put a bunch of sealer in it bead in the bad spot, filled it again.. did this a couple times and no more leaks... lol mounted the wheels up with the 3" spacer on each side making it 6" wider over all. And its sitting W-I-D-E- in back now...lol it rides good, slides easier in the dirt now...
