Ran over and picked up this jewel yesterday!!! 1984 ATC200X with only 556 miles on factory honda speedo. It is in great shape for its age with a crack in the rear fender but everything else looks great. I have to split the case to fix the kickstarter but for $300 it was hard to beat!!!

What exactly do you need for the kick starter? I have a couple of parts machines around 83-84.

Well i just pulled the starter cover off and the two main gears look fine no broken teeth. So its time to split the case and see whats wrong. You can move the kick starter and hear the rachet working inside so i wonder what it might be with so low of miles. Any ideas 200x masters? And if i need a part ps2fixer i will hit you up! My gf had one just like this when she was growing up so im pretty excited to get it going. Whats funny is besides my 250r and 350x she is the only other person to own a ATC im miles!!!

the kicker gear and ratchet teeth are either worn to the nub or gone. If I were you I would ask Shortline10 (on the boards) if he has any reinforced kicker gear sets left. Time to split the cases, have fun!Originally Posted by crewchief747

I have kick starter shim spacers left, just have the gears back cut and install the shim for the spring and it wont slip anymore $4 shipped gets ya the correct shim spacers. PM me if you want them. I am not dipping back into 200x's anymore so I will sell them.
