    thoughts on 2nd gen R

Got the option to buy a 1984 R, the down side is its n pieces and missing all the plastics and tank. Basically it's the frame with the front end, everything else is n boxes. Before he tore it apart it sat outside for about a year with no spark plug n it and nothing covering the trike. Asking $350, this a deal or what's a good price

I would be hesitant, that sounds like a money hole. It would be better off as a parts unit in my opinion.

doesn't sound like 350 bucks worth to me. Like f76 said sounds like a parts bike unless you can get it for $100. Tank and plastics will cost you $300-400. Then motor parts $300-500. And that's just what you know about, who knows what else it needs. Decent 2nd gen R's run $800-1000 for a running ready to go R.

I would pass on it at that price.
