My little guy is getting older fast. I still got some time, but it seems to go by faster now. So it's time to get something going.
(We aren't soccer fans, My father in law is from Brazil so His grandson has to wear the colors for the World Cup)
Keep in mind I am also building the 300 and have to go through the top end in the X soon so it may be slow for a bit. I picked this up while on vacation in Virginia for pocket change basically, Plan to go through it, repair, rebuild, and upgrade a little while keeping it safe for a child.
Looks to be originally red with a yellow seat. But someone got some spray paint and vinyl and decided the blue one looked cooler....Damn they laid that paint on thick...Mr. Razor Blade and I are going to be fast friends.
I got it back to Michigan and started to look into it.
Not too bad of a start, Has a new "OEMSTD" carb, and the original in a box. I may just clean the original and put it back on for now. Rear tires are good, Front is shot. Brakes work, Missing recoil, and doesn't seem to have good spark. But all good other than that so far.
I have a new coil on the way since the spark looked kinda weak, and it doesn't seem to even try and pop. Plug gets wet after pulling for a bit. Oil tank is empty and I have pre-mix in the fuel tank. It also looks like it's missing the choke lever. And I haven't found a good pic of where one is mounted. Anyone have a close up of the lever?
My plan is to wake it up a bit with a PW80 carb and proper manifold, PW50 clutch springs (I have to look into this again, I may be thinking of a different project), Aftermarket pipe and head shaving a bit. Or if any other bigger jugs bolt on? Fix the plastics, seat and just have fun with it until Mikey can ride it.
Oil pump gear is coming out, and the pump is coming off so I will need a block off plate I believe, The hoses are all goofed from the PO.... so I'd rather pre-mix and be sure it's oiled than sort this mess and hope it didn't fail anyway.
If anyone has any suggestions for the no start I'm open to all suggestions
I have also posted an ad looking for parts, Check it out if you think you can help. WTB: Zinger Parts
