Am I understanding correctly ...that all those people on that ballot were each running for president of Mexico?

I'm surprised that:

1) Mexican voters are even allowed to have more than two parties in the government?(unless you promise to call yourself 'Independent') ...unlike America?

2) So Mexico let's #1 happen without huge steaming pile of media mockery and attempting to banish any new parties or ideas by making them appear irrelevant and then passing legislation to eliminate competition like America does?

3) Does Mexican media stage huge propaganda to influence their elections or foment civil war when they don't get the desired results like here? ...Cuz that would be I infinitely harder for them to cheat than it is here, I would think.

4) I wonder if all those parties are all on the same side secretly (progressive left) like here in America and if, whether it's ten choices or two, do they all read from the same script like American leaders?

5) so multiple parties can push a single candidate as theirs? I see quite a few groups with the same candidate listed

Maybe, like here with the tea party, they just subvert or subjugate any new ideas or outsiders that make it past numbers 1-4 and get elected anyway.... Sucking them into the Borg Collective... resistance is futile and all that
