is that petcock on the tank the same one a tiger uses? The red handle looks a lot like the petcocks robertc posted the other day.

Do yourself and the vintage world a favor and ditch those lame chincy plastic sliders they came with from calfab and modify a UPP banshee front slider to put on there. They can go on stock Z swingers with a little work. You should be able to mod it to fit the calfab.
    50$ gamble to save a 1000$ swinger.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

Thats a great idea. The cheesy front slider is missing and I definitely want something on there to protect it. Thanks Mosh.

That is one sweet bike. If anyone is making the air box I will take 2. Also if anyone is thinking of making or have them laying around I would buy 2 of those sweet gas tanks. Let me know.

My pleasure. It looks so much better with a set of fenders on and a number plate. I'm passing this thread torch over to you so if you would update this one as it goes along so that the resurection is documented from its discovery.

Oile called me today to ask if I still wanted the air box to have a "hands on" look at it for possible reproduction So I am looking forward to possibly having a new project to focus on.

Now if I am understanding all this correctly, the air box on Oile's Tri-Z don't require a top mount tank to be able to use correct ?
In talking with N2bvr (his ebay name, not sure of his 3ww board member name but spoke with on here as well) he asked if I wanted to borrow his before he listed on ebay. According to what he was saying his UFO style air box required a top mount tank.

This is all correct so far right ??? I am sure I will have more ???

Ok now if you look at the top left picture you will see the same air box set up that this Tri-z has. This is an factory option you could buy like an Hondaline part for Honda. Notice there is the factory fuel tank still in place with this air box. Also is there anyone that has an August 1985 Dirt Wheels magazine of these pages could you you post a better pic for me that would be great.
