I have the stocker 27MM carb on the bike.. I recently purchased the 34MM Keihin PJ carb and was goin to put it on when I realised its to big..
The intake boot doesn't fit over the carb. Do I have to find a different size intake boot?

I put a 34mm PE carb on mine. I just heated up the boot with a heat gun, while the boot was still warm I worked it in there. Go slow so you don't rip the boot.
Some people boil the boot.
Edit: I should add that my trike has a second gen motor and it had a larger boot to begin with.

did u notice a huge difference? do you run the airbox also?
If you can find an intake like the two on the bottom (one on the left is gen 3) you can purchase brand new mikuni snowmobile carb boots that will match your carb size.

mine is obviously a first gen.. will the boot stretch enough to fit on the first gen?
