    Greetings from Texas

Hello all. Well after a 23 year absence I am back in the 3 wheeler world. At 43 I find myself searching for things that remind me of my childhood. I suppose we all go through this stage at some point. I also get great satisfaction from bringing an old item back to usable condition. We camp in a 69 Airstream, use old pump up Coleman lanterns and stoves, and love every minute of it. One thing missing was riding on an old ATC .

I was hoping to find my original 200m, but have not had any luck. If I can't locate my old bike, I plan to find a couple of Big Reds. In the meantime, I came across a 1981 185s that will have to feed my desire for the moment. Currently working on carburetor and fuel tank. Tank has some pinhole rust spots, and carburetor was very dirty. Rear fenders are cracked, and seat cushion is in terrible shape. I'm going to start a rebuild thread with pics soon. I do want to say how thrilled I was to find this forum. Wealth of knowledge and great people.

    Hi from Leander.

Your story sounds familiar - I'm 45 now and re-loving the wheelers (well, same models anyway) I rode in my teens.

She's a runner. Cleaned the carb, washed out the fuel tank, and did a temp patch on a few pinholes. Didn't have spark at first. Found the disconnected coil wire and pulled the rope. Fired up on first pull. You should have seen the looks on my 7 and 10 year old boy's faces. I'm certain I was doing a little grinning myself. Rode around the yard a bit until the tank started leaking again. Now that I know she runs I'll do a more permanent tank repair.

There is nothing quite like a honda. That is a good feeling. Thats cool that you got your boys involved. I have three girls and they dont want anything to do with mine.

Broke the pull rope yesterday. Gave my 7 year old a lesson in how to repair it. I let him remove the shifter, and remove and replace the mounting bolts.
