Looking for a 185s tank in good shape

I need to find a 185s gas tank in good shape for my dad. Looking for the one with the smaller intake whole, I believe the year is 82, but I'm sure that's not the only year with that tank.

I may have one, but it will take me a day or 2 to look.
Whats wrong with the one you have?
    Does it leak?

I'm in Coos Bay, yes, it leaks, he's tried the patching stuff and it didn't work.

I wonder if there's a way to measure that tank?

maybe center mounting hole to the tank grommet centers?

My tanks all got thrown in a pile and never marked as to what they came off.
There's at least 15 tanks so any info will help.
the 110 tanks are pretty obviously different but 185 and 200 may be the same

I understand that this should be in classifieds but seems to have taken a turn
into Tvania as in, how do we tell which tanks fit what.
Plus I can't move it as I didn't start the thread.
Seems like a good time to get a handle on what tanks fit what machines and / or if they'll fit other machines..or maybe there a number code on the bottom of these tanks.

The more I learn, seems like the less I know.

Guess it's time to go work on trikes.
Have buyers for about 10 machines and too lazy to work in the rain.

    Hope everyone is having fun.
My field is about 5 feet deep with flood water and thinking I should mount a paddle tire 90 or 110 onto some sort of floatation device so I can get across the field.

    Wonder if that would work.?
    Someone must have tried it
