Helm & Sons or H&S catalog, anyone have one to scan?
I would love to read it again.
I stopped by the building the other day, its a wreck now.
Anyone know what happened to them? I heard the owner went to jail.

Definitely not in Jail. lol
One of the members on here has close relations to the Helm family.
They are just in a different line of business now. Still in AZ.

That is so far from the truth. The Helm family are all doing well. I will be see them this next week for Christmas. And it would'nt be at the jail !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha.
Thank you Joseph for your support in the truth.
I am happy to hear they are doing well + okay !
I have heard and seen a few examples of the engine work and very interested in seeing one of their catalogs.
.
Sweet pics, we went down there pretty much once a week.
Thanks for clearing that up I obviously got some bad info!
Glad to hear they are OK.
So, do you guys know how did their porting & head mods? We had a 300r that they ported that run like no other!!!
I went to Helm's in 1982 and got a full tour of their facility. Very nice people and they were very interested in my XL175 top end on 90 cases mod.
I still remember seeing a big wire cage next to a mill and there must been 2 or 300 stroker crank halves ready to be assembled and their pipe bending setup was terrific.
Dico had a whole back wall of their San Diego shop stacked up with Helm big bore stroker kits. It was about 6 feet high. This was mind boggling for me back in the day to be able to walk into a shop and get whatever kit you wanted. I had to wait for over four months to get my 180cc Pauter kit shipped to Australia in 1980.
