Any SOHC members on here? My 78' 550 four K

Cleaned the garage and decided to snap some pics of my first road bike, 78' Honda 550 four K. Needs some lovin' before it could be road ready but is going onto the project list for future consideration. PO painted it Chevy blue, said he didn't like the original color.
So is anyone else on the SOHC forum? Registered a few weeks ago. Posted in new member intro area but just lurking every now and then. Just wandering what kinda "group" is over there.

Sorry, no sohc-4's in my stable, but I have done a little work on them. Nice bikes, well built and very smooth (which is obvious thanks to the name screwed on the gas tank...)

Keep lurking, you can tell what kind of folks are on a forum if you read a lot of posts. That's why I joined up here!

No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

I'm a member but totally inactive. I had a great blue 400F for a while. Absolute jewel of an engine.
When I was growing up, my dad had a brown 71 Roundtop for years. Still one of my favorite colors - Candy Garnet Brown. Was a great old bike.

+1 for inactive user. Here's a pic of my 400f from the day I bought it:

I had it running a couple years ago...perhaps I should break it out again this summer and do some work on it. Great sounding bikes that just love to rev.

Well, my old CB just may get some lovin'. Sold my Road Glide over the wkd due to lack of riding time and to free up some equity. Gonna miss it, but I'm sure I will have another somewhere down the line.

Tried to register on the SOHC forum back a couple years ago, something happened that caused it to fail....I still lurk once in a while, have a friend whose registered. It's a coincidence I've been giving my '72 CB750 some loving, long over due. I live 5 miles inland from the ocean and the salt air has attacked all the chrome, so I've removed the wheels to re chrome the hubs and replace the spokes with polished SS. These pic's where taken 2 years ago, you can't see the pitting.....

Lots of "shine" on yours in the pics. Mine needs lots of attention to the chrome as well. I remember polishing it up at one time just to watch it pit back up. I doubt i will go wild with this restoring it, just want to get it road worthy initially so that if I get the itch I have something to roll on pavement with
