    New Member from Southern AZ

    Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself and start the 10 Post counter. I"m new to the forum but not new to the world of ATC's. My first ATC was a 1979 110 that was a complete and total POS but it was my POS. As an adult, I've returned to the world of ATC's and now have a 1983 110 that is in my mind pretty much awesome. I'm an avid Duner and always take my 110 with me. Below is a shot from this past Halloween:

Thanks! That picture was taken at the pole near Oglby. My buddy had his 125 with him so we figured we needed to make a cocktail run on the ATC's.

Bombing thru the dunes on non suspended trikes is definitely going back in time. The first trike I rode in Oregon dunes back in 1984 was a 185s with front suspension, then I got ride an 85 250r. I can tell you with certainty that I did not want to get back on the 185.

x2 I had an 82 185s and a couple of 250 Odysseys. The 185s was eventually fully suspended but totally outclassed when the 200X came out. Sold it and never looked back. Until now. I wouldn't mind having a nice stock 82 185s again.

I wouldn't really say we were "Bombing" by any means but it was fun. Quads are the lazy way to get around in the dunes but the ATC always manages to make it's way into the trailer. I remember my first trip to the dunes in 1984 (Yikes!) and I rode a 1983 185s with the front suspension. Of course at age 14 and maybe 100 pounds soaking wet, the 185 pulled me around pretty easy.

Truth be told, I registered with 3 wheelerworld because myself and two friends are racing a 1985 250r in the 2015 NORRA Mexican 1000. I haven't posted in the racing section because I"m still shy of the 10 post minimum.

We'll be racing that bad boy 1,200 miles from Ensenada to Cabo on April 25-29. Our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DynamicallyUnstableRacing) has most of the details.

And yes, "Dynamically Unstable" comes from the 1987 Honda Motor company lawsuit that ultimately killed our ATC's. It's a public page so feel free to like and poke around.

Wow Odysseys.. Now we're really heading down memory lane. If you ever get the chance to ride the dunes in CA, take it. It's well worth the time and effort to get there.
