    90/110 Custom Frame Weight

    Couple of friends and I were discussing what custom frame which was available to the everyday rider or the ones which were mass advertised was the lightest. Of course we all had our ideas on which bare frame was the lightest, however no one but me had any bare frames (w/o any front end, bearing carriers, etc.) So if anyone has a bare frame around and a decent scale to weigh with, post up with the manufacturer and weight and let's compare the frame weights. I think it would be interesting to compare.

    Hey , I may have a little info for you on the weight of aftermarket 90-110 frames. The Dickson Sprint is 18#. The Dickson Joker is 21#. The Desert Products is 21.5# . The Johnny Speed and Chrome is 18#. These are just a few I was able to get to today. I will check others soon,get back with the info. I think the all aluminum AWS frame will be your lightest. Hopefully this was some help.

    The AWS frame is less than10 pounds. Flat sheets of aluminumj except for the neck. That's for the frame without the fuel tank built into the frame.

    More update , The Nicholson is 18 lbs , The Vey's is 18 lbs. And that good old Honda OEM frame is 17.5 lbs. Add that to the list.

    I'm sure there are more, but they probably aren't bare. Luckily I didn't have to get mine down out of the attic and weigh them. Thanks for all the good information.

    The frames aren't at my house to weigh. I would add the HP suspension 110 or the racing chromoly frame to the list as well.
