    BRIMSTONE....three wheeler adventure!

Another year is here, so that means another ride to stroke off my bucket list. We (my wife and I) have been talking about this one for a few years now. We have also talked with other members and agreed to go this year.
I really don't know much about the place other than it has some amazing trail systems for riding during the day and on the weekend that we are going it has country jamboree playing as well. We plan on leaving our home on Wens., Sept. the 2 and coming home on the 7th, so 4 days of fun on the trikes! I have heard this is a pretty big event and fills up quickly so we will plan on camping in the un-serviced area or where ever they allow us to camp with our toy hauler.
There is a lot more planning to be done before Sept. comes, but I wanted to get this out there in case people have to book holidays from work.
All is welcome, we always have a great time when we get together with our trikes!

Here is a link to - the place....http://www.huntsville-tn.com/visitin...one-recreation

it looks like they do not have any info. up for this year, it is still for 2014.

That would be great if you can make it, we always have a great time when we get together!

Wondering where Mr. chickengizzard is these days, this ride should be fairly close to him...

This looks like fun!!! I'll check to see if anything is going on. I know we are planning to build my quad into a full race bike starting around this spring. Depending on when everything goes together with it, I think the plan is going to a few national races and pitting it against the 40+ class. But if this isn't happening around the time for you guy's get together, I'll go ahead and put in the time on my vacation book at work just in case I can go to this.

I received an e-mail yesterday from the Brimstone recreation department. They are not having live entertainment this year at the sxs/atv event. Hopefully this isn't a deal breaker for you and still decide to come out for the ride.

Not a problem, I'm not much of a country music fan anyway, so I'm good. Is this going to be an adult ride or more of a family ride ?

Since all my kids have left the nest, they will not be attending. I personally don't have a problem with kids attending, treat it as a family vacation. I would love to have mine attend, but they show no interest in riding. I would say that it isn't going to be a fast ride, but depending how many people show, there typically different groups for different ride speeds, or the slower riders stay closer to the rear and the faster ones at the front, but we never leave anyone behind. Just ask ckt (Chris) how far he was pulled last year at Baldwin, lol. I will be taking the 600x, so I will be set for fast or slow, plus the horsepower to pull anyone that has a break down.

Dave I think I was still riding second in the pack. So that made me in the faster group. It just so happened I was being towed. Sigh.... It was only a 30 mile roughly tow. Riding with the tappers and john/liway is the best. Fast or slow doesn't matter. We ride at whatever pace you feel comfortable. No one gets left behind/lost or stranded. Trust me I speak from Experiance. In fact being towed by Dave was the fastest my little honda 110 ever trail rode. Lol... Plus I could ride with no hands. I'm hoping to make this trip, I'll be taking the trusty 350x.

That's cool, if there were going to be any kids coming I was going to load up my rzr and bring my daughter, but I'll grab a tent, throw the big red in my truck and head down.

I have been spending some time digging around Brimstone's web site and making a few calls. The campsite that we are planning on staying at is this one http://www.brimstonerecreation.com/p...amping-and-rv/ , we are planning on camping on the primitive site, but are open to suggestions. You will need to buy permits to ride the trail systems http://www.brimstonerecreation.com/l...rmits/permits/ . We are planning on getting the 4 day ones since we are arriving Wednesday night.
I know the snow hasn't left us yet and fall is a long time away, but I am really excited and cant wait for Sept. to get here, lol
