I'm looking for pics of where to put the labels on the 86 Tecate frame. Not the ones on the plastics.
Thanks in advance

1 83 atc 70
1 Kfx 50
1 kfx 400 ( with 470 parting out bike)

I powder coated my frames so the labels are no longer there, but I remember the black label was placed off center (to the left) on the head tube. The clear plastic label with the vin number was on the upper portion of the rectangular part of the down tube.
I have an original one, I'll take some pictures this week.

These are the only two labels I found on the frame. I looked through the FSM supplement and didn't see any others called out. The front fork tube decal is still in place but you probably can find that placement in a brochure picture.

Huh, I was wondering if my black label was slapped on after the fact, but apparently no one at Kawasaki thought to put them on perfectly vertically. I have seen the gas ratio decal on the tank more like the Honda's on the neck, but the FSM shows it on the rear fender. Chain slack goes on the left side of the fender under the seat. To be honest my from the factory fenders don't have any of those decals and there isn't a fade or anything showing that they were there, so they didn't get put on or were taken off shortly after new as the original fenders are different than the NOS ones.

I always removed all of the warning labels as soon as I got the new bike home from the dealer for that very reason. Of course, the last new bike I brought home frome the dealer was my '86 250R. I can only imagine the amount of warning labels plastered all over current ATVs.

This may not be the place for this and don't mean to thread highjack, but here are some OEM fender differences. There may be a slight difference by the master cylinder window as shown in the FSM, but my fenders do not have the rivets there so I did not include that area. Notice the factory used rivets for the document holder rather than the bolts available through Kawasaki as replacement parts. Other members may have better pictures or better fenders with more detail.
