Honda Atc 185 score for $150.

Got this a few weeks ago, a 1983 honda 185s for $150. Not the best looking, but it runs.

So far, had to but rear axle bearings and a head pipe gasket. Also, I do have the recoil, but it needs a rope and a rebuild.

Well, now that ive got rear bearings and brakes on it, im gonna fix the recoil (i got it, but its broken), and get some new fenders. Eventually, im thinking of painting it a custom color, dunno what yet.

Huh, apparently my trike has a 200s engine on it. I knew my brother did an engine swap, but at the time I thought it was with another 185 engine.

Update, What I done so far. Rear axle replaced , (bought a parts 185s for $50) , brand new brake cables, new foot pedal and rear hand brake lever. New fuel lines and filter, painted the exhaust and the gas tank. Overall, it still doesn't really look any different, but I plan on repainting the whole thing in the winter.

Once I get some new plastics, that is. Those will be painted first, a nice coat of silver. The frame I want to paint blue.

ok, I know i said i was going to wait till winter and that i was going to paint the body first, but I decided to go ahead and do the frame. I currently stripped the trike down to its frame and im in the process of cleaning it in preparation for the paint. For the frame paint, I bought Van Sickle Ford Tractor blue, a very durable paint (and thick), and its a color i like. I will post the after pics when its done, both before and after the trike is re assembled. the Body pics will come later

luckily, i got those with the three wheeler. its hard to turn on the stock tires and they puncture easily.

After Pics are In, just painted it last night. yeah, got a little over spray on the fenders, but they are garbage anyways. its kinda quick, but im not going show quality with it.

welp, got a set of rear fenders, still need to paint them, im working on that. I have painted the Gas Tank and front fork.

Recently, the engine started making strange noises in the transmission, plus it it smoking and losing power, which i know if I have to tear into it, I may as well rebuild it. I may eventually rebuild it, but I dont have that kind of money right now, plus I Stupidly sold the 185 Engine I had for backup a while back, still dont know why I decided to do that. However, I did get a Honda Big red (1983 ATC200E) parts trike for $60, (fenders are 200m), so I will go ahead and put that engine on my 185s. The reverse and Electric Start will be a nice bonus!
