The calipers on the 86 and 87 Tecates are the same. The rear on the 87 does have some differences with the 86, i.e., a parking brake and larger disc, but the pads, seals, etc. should be the same.

I don't mean to hijack but have not found any info on the correct rear brake pads for the 84' T3. I have searched high and low. I have found there are 3 different styles? If someone could shed some light on this that would be great. Nd4speed I have read through all 20 pages of the parts lists and nothing told me what I need.

I just took my time to do this, took under a minute. All you have to do is go to a parts site (I just used Partzilla), look up OEM parts, then see what it is.

Thanks man! I ordered those exact pads off fleabay for 17.00 shipped. Bike bandit was my go to for parts back in the day. It now sucks. Gonna use partzilla from now on.
