I use valvoline atv 10w40 but anything with wet clutch additive should work. With motor warm and tri moto on flat surface remove drain plug from under the left (when sitting on machine) foot peg. I think 17 or 19mm but I could be wrong. There is a spring and filter behind the drain plug so I usually just slightly loosen the plug slightly and let it drain before I remove anything. Do you have a manual?

I use 10w 40 yamalube in all of mine at 6.95 a quart or 21$ a gallon the way I buy it. I feel it is a fair price to pay and have never had a problem with the oil. It is a 19mm for the drain plug and dont forget to pull the oil filter which is on the right hand side and is circular with 3 allen head bolts holding it down. You can either was it out with gasoline or replace it depending on it's condition.

Forgot the filter was on the other side. Tri moto has been parked as have all of my trikes. Never any free time. The filters are pretty cheap, I usually buy 3 at a time and put a new one when I change the oil.

I got my filters off of eBay. Your local dealer may also have them.

Haven't seen a paper filter for it only foam or fabric. If you included sleeve cover. Yes 1.6 qts yamalube always treated me good.

Uni filter for them has always been a good choice for me as well. Can mod the air box easily if you have a Dremmel and adhesive. I'm converting mine to have a 2" outlet for a 2" snorkel.
