    86 t3 shock

    I found a post on here somewhere i can't seem to find it again on newer shocks using the same parts to rebuild the tecate shock. I mainly can't find a new bladder. what used the same one? the seal is easy to find new.

    Btw I can not get the cap off the cartridge to get to the bladder. I pulled the clip out and got the cap about 1/4 inch out and can't get it to go anymore. I wanted to take a look at it anyway

    Take the valve core out and shoot some shop air into the hole using a rubber tipped air nozzle. Just be careful and have a few shop rags there to prevent it from flying across the room. The bladder is probably fine, mine did have scuffing and the rubber was deteriorating so I think it would have broken down into small pieces and contaminated the oil. Probably would never feel a difference but while you have it apart you might as well replace it, it's cheap.

    Well that worked was kinda scary when it popped lol. Anyway the bladder is in like perfect condition. Saves me a few bucks. Thanks for the tip phantom
