    Unexpected new acquisition

So, we weren't looking for another trike at the moment. Heck, I still have a few more little projects to get done on the ones we have...

My wife stumbles across an '84 125m for sale locally on Facebook for pretty cheap and wants to go look at it because the seller says it's in excellent original condition.

So we go look at it and find it to be very much as stated. It does need a good PM service, a bath, and new tires because the 31 year old originals are pretty dry rotted. (2 actually hold air!). It has very stale fuel in the tank, and despite that she fires right up cold without a hint of smoke or any other issues!

This thing doesn't have a single crack or rip and still has the trunk lid! This thing is a true survivor that has spent alot of time sitting in a garage and just served the purpose of getting the owner in and out of the woods for hunting.. Also, the seller is the original owner who bought it new.

I'm pretty sure my wife has developed a soft spot for the smaller hard-tail trikes and I could tell she wanted this one, so we couldn't walk away from it for the asking price of $225. I think we did very good and that they could have gotten double their asking price around here without much issue

The other pics are my kids... My daughter riding the 110 for the second time and my boy playing on my Big Red..

I'll get more pics later. I'm kind of proud of this one..

Good find. I'm not a Facebook person so I'm not sure how she ran across it. Does Facebook have a for sale section or something?

Sort of, there's different "groups" you can join within Facebook, there's quite a few classifieds and garage sale groups that people post in. I've never seen a trike in any but there are good deals on stuff sometimes there

Good job, it looks like someone bought it off the showroom floor, rode it one weekend and put it away.

I haven't looked for tires in 22x11x9 in quite a while, so I checked RMATV quick and they have waffle iron tires for 50 bucks a pop.

I might rob the rears off the 110 just till we get new so we can play around with it.

Once I get it cleaned up I'll get a few more pics and post em up. The pic above really doesn't do the little bugger justice.

Oh yeah, tool kit still resides in the trunk.

Right on the money Bill. I realized my erroneous assumption after I unloaded it earlier today and started working on it.

Got a used set of Trail-Pros.. I know I know..But the price was right, free! And they will last forever! LMAO!

Got the carb cleaned and fresh fuel in it. Carb was very dirty but I got it... Runs good except it suffers from the same issue my 110 has, at just off idle at steady throttle it stutters, like it's rich. Just like the 110, adding a little choke does not improve. it. Throttle past it to higher RPM and they both run like a watch and pull good.
I'm going to order a couple new air filters for them both and see if that helps at all.. Last summer I tried some jetting changes with the 110 and I just can't seem to tune this little issue away... No biggie, I'll get it..eventually! LOL!
