Im going to guess your trying to see what the suspension looks like bottomed out so you can figure out how much actual suspension travel you'll have for all your jumps you may encounter. Or your checking clearance for something while your bottomed out. am i close or just rambling

Yes, Pro Taper is sponsoring us so we are using Honda tall CR bend 1 1/8" bars, Honda CR levers, front master cylinder, clutch perch.
    http://www.protaper.com/products/handlebars/evo

Honda CR throttle assembly with a Pro Taper Twister throttle tube.
    http://www.protaper.com/products/thr.../twister-tubes

I would love to run the CR kill button, but we must run a headlight at some events, so stock 350X or maybe something more modern, Mike's the engineer and he is in charge of the lights, so it's his problem.

    Pro Taper chains too-

    And bar mounts-

HUGE! Thank You to Pro Taper for the sponsorship for these projects, I have been using their products from day one and honestly believe they are the best!

He have a winner!, thanks for playing, great job.

Yes this in the profile of a stock 350X fully bottomed out, with a clearance of 6.5" to 7" that's a ton of ground clearance.

I am not looking for the frame to be dragging in the weeds, but a skid plate is not all that important with that kind of clearance.

So I have engineered a suspension set up to use a couple of those inches down, and the rest up to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.

You would need skateboard wheels to flat track a 350X.

Here the set-up on a modern MX bike-

Mike, Oscar Mayer is a ex-import tuner, racer, turbo, builder of some serious race cars (He still has a WRX), so he had a idea and did the research to make a turbo & fuel injection work on a 350X to make sure we can keep up with 250R's at top speed!

I think I have him talked into a fast, updated, modern type, but very reliable 350X engine with a 80 MPH+ target, but if he gets passed by a 250R it will probably be- Game on!

^ haha yea well first thing's first. lets see how she runs with 10.5:1 compression and some engine mods to see how she responds and how reliable it will be. if we can make it last for the NORRA, then I will start experimenting with the spare 350x motor we have and see what happens. wonder what it would be like to run a 65hp 350x with the smallest gear in the rear and tallest in the front? 120mph?

Using a PRM Product rear grab bar, this one is used but I am going to polish it up.

BAJA #1 is using a PRM too, but it has the wide desert style grab bar.

I have been using PRM since the mid 80's they are some great products.

    Big Nissin brakes-

No 350X or for that matter ATC brake components will be used, except a drilled & surfaced 350X rear rotor, We are not going oversized due to ground clearance.

Dual piston calipers front & rear, no E-brake.

modern 2015 braking standards, custom stainless brake lines, EBC pads, synthetic brake fluid. Stoppies will be possible!

Yes, but it came with the trike, we will probably use something quite for long races, and more modern.

    I do like the Supertrapps.

Scott's steering stabilizer, made by Ohlins in Sweden.

IMHO they are simply the best, bulletproof and have a huge range of adjustment.

Unfortunately I have to custom build all the mounts, they do not make anything that will work, I guess they don't want to be in the trike market or maybe no one asked before us?Click image for larger version.
