    Sandpuppies Memorial Ride

Another year has slipped by and it seems that most are talking threw Facebook now. I meant to post this ride a month ago but got tied up in life and forgot (sucks getting old!). The ride is taking place next weekend (Aug. 1 weekend) in Rose City, MI at the Waffle house (same place as it has always been). I don't think anything any ride is really planned. There are lots of trails, we have been known to ride to Bull Gap, Luzerne, to have a late lunch at Ma-Deters, explored a bit down around St. Helens and of coarse a must stop is Ambrose lake. I have met a lot of great people and became good friends with them at this ride. Best way to get details is to do a search on here, I have been going since '06 (missed one year in '13) and look forward to it every year. I heard that some are arriving on Thurs. My wife and I will be arriving late Thurs. evening and staying until Monday morning sometime.
Make sure you have your MI orv stickers and a spark arrest in your muffler, working head light ( to ride on shoulder of road if need be)
    Hope to see you there!!!
R.I.P. Sandpuppie, you are greatly missed!
May you rest in peace Jeswinehart, deeply missed, never forgotten....

Shannon and I will be there on Thursday sometime late morning early afternoon. We are actually on holidays all week and will be riding about an hour north at the Atlanta trail system to check it out. as tapper said I haven't heard of a planned ride so we can definitely make anything work. Ma Deeters is a good destination ride for sure. looking forward to seeing everyone again

You have to have a headlight to ride on the side on the rode during the day?

Guess you can just buy a handle bar mount for a flashlight like torchlight for $17 sounds like a good idea anyway.

God I love Bull gap, Rose City, and Ambrose lake....havent been to Ma Deters in awhile either.

    Wish I was there.........

It was great to see everybody again, almost perfect riding weather, to a perfect weekend, just needed a little rain Friday night to knock down a bit more dust. Food was amazing as always. We left on Sunday, they were calling for some really bad weather. This ride will happen again next year, so make sure to mark it on your calendars. When Uncle Jimmy sets the date for next year I will start a thread so the planning can start.
Thanks to everyone that cooked, the food was amazing as always!

Hope you left early on Sunday morning. Northern Michigan got hit pretty hard. Consumers Power said they 90,000 without electricity. Ours went out at about 2:30 Sunday afternoon and just came back on about 12:30 They were saying it wouldn't be back on until Thursday. I guess we lucky.

Enjoyed the day Saturday and was glad to see everyone. Look forward to next year.

Another great year. Guys no excuses for next year. Mark this ride on your calendar for 2016. This is the best ride of the year. Great group of people. Then again if you don't like pig wings, ribs, hamburgs, cold beer, uncle jimmy goulash, homemade doughnuts and bread, tons of laughs and great trail riding please don't come, I would not want you to not have a great trip.
Thanks to Roger(sandpuppi) for starting this annual ride. Thanks to the core group(you know who you are) of people who keep it going for Sandpuppi.
