ATC 250R with Tecate Tank and shrouds

Saw this on that social media website. A friend of mine is going to sell kits to put a Tecate tank and shrouds on the ATC250r. After grinding down the OEM stops on the lower triple, this will give a similar effect as the short track kit.

Not sure on the details, but I think the kit will show up on a website where one can bid on lots of stuff.

I think it looks pretty good with that tank on it.

Looks good. It appears to be a Clarke tank molded in red? Any info on the shrouds, molded or painted?

To me this is awesome and funny. Awesome that there is a cheaper allturnative to the Hondaline short track kit. Funny, I have looked at a lot of other gas tanks to see if something else would fit and this tank was right here under my nose lol.

personally i would look for a thinner tank if was gonna go for a short track tank alternative, i never liked how fat feeling my 86 Tecate was in the middle (keep in mind this is from a guy who put ATC70 tanks on his Nicholson 200, Nicholson XR500 and even my Honda powered Quadracer had a tiny fuel tank custom made by CT for me)

wide tanks make it harder to move around on the bike if you are serious about fast lap times like i was

You probably never considered it because it was the wrong color for a Honda.

Or, go with green fenders too. You'd have people scratching their heads, wondering why your Tecate doesn't vibrate itself to death.
