Trike build before and after pictures!

Hey everyone I recently finished my 85 350x and wanted to share photos of it. I hope everyone who is working on a trike will do the same.

Thanks. I had a blast building it back to where it is now. I wish I had done it sooner

Did you use a plastic renew product on the fenders?

No I used a heat gun to bring the color back to the surface ( took about 6 hours) you dont want to get it liquid hot just hot enough to bring the color back and then scrub it with a 70 30 mix of paint thinner and boiled linseed oil. And it has to be boiled linseed oil or it will become a sticky nasty mess.

That is amazing what you did with the fenders. You need to describe your process in further detail. I am shocked!

What you did with those plastics is really impressive...wow. Surely there will be more interest in the process. The 350X looks fun too !

Take heat gun on high and go back and forth over the fender in a straight line. Till just the top layer is pliable not liquid but loose and then cool it quick I use water and repeat until bright. As long as the color one the bottom is not faded it will pull it back to the top.

Does it only work on Maier? I see you replaced the front with oe,did you use the same process on the OE front? She sure was a rough start!

Yea. I put a lot of work into it. It should work on both. But sometimes you have to repeat the process a few times to pull the color to the surface

Nice work. Saved a lot of $$ too.

Wonder if it works on green plastic tanks?
