Surprised theres no comments on this lol Im I the first too do this never seen it done before?
Def not the 1st-lol. No pics of my conversion on my 185s- However , theres IS more 90/110 s on here with this conversion than there is 185/200 s -lol
Note: You could have saved yourself some time & trouble using the complete 83-85 200X "brake disc/hub" instead of all that welding & grinding to join that mix-match disc/hub. Maybe you used those because thats what you had laying around?-IDK?.... Anyway,-Its such a good feeling to go from almost no brakes ever -to having disc brake for sure! -Much safer too!

can you list the caliper, rotor, and hub you used?

This is awesome, great job. I might have to try something like this soon. I have no complaints about the brakes not working with the shoe / hub OEM design, but I do have a problem with them sticking when you use them.
FYI - people have added front disc brakes to hi-performance 70s too.

Yessir, I cut off the aluminum part of the drum and used the original hub/splins and welded a disc brake that came off a front of the front of a 400ex, caliper is from the back of a polaris outlaw, the steel braided line is from a can-am renegade and the master cylinder is from an older polaris 4x4, all random stuff I had laying around. Honestly so worth it, feels like a completely different trike! Definitely a wheelie machine now haha
Sorry for the late reply lol
that's cool man, Thanks! can you get me a close up of how you cut off, where and what you wended too? I was actually going to design a hub that people can buy to do this. to save everyone time in the future on any 200. all 200 axles (except the 200ES) are the same. even the 185 uses the same brake parts.
