85 350x slight tick in top end

So I got my 350x running good that I just picked up however it seems to have a slightly louder than normal tick. The previous owner told me he put a new timing chain and guides in not too long ago. I adjusted the valves which were pretty much dead on to begin with. The valves open and closed and didn't stick. The cam lobes looked fine too. The tick only seems to be at low rpms and go away every now and then when its warmed up. Does anybody have any ideas what this might be or is it just normal?

Very slight tick can be normal... no tick at all might mean the valve clearance is too tight, better to be a hair loose. Depends on the tick. Can you post a short video of the noise it's making? That helps narrow it down a lot more than just describing it...

Make sure your decomp cable isn't too tight.
