Im rebulding the top end of my 79' honda atc110. I took the head to my machine shop and he said the piston and bore look good hes just going to clean it up and hone it for some new rings. Im lookingon ebay for some standard bore rings but most of them listed say there for 1981-85 models. Were the 79' rings different? The only rings i saw listed on ebay for a 79' were fifty dollars wich seems expensive. Anywhere else to get standard rings for a 79' ?
I also want, no...need a new exhaust. There are a couple dg exhausts on ebay one has a kinda straight pipe and i think this would mount like the original Exhaust up through the frame and out the back but the other listed seems to have a u-shaped header pipe and im not sure what thats all about. Also open to any suggestions on the exhaust brand and where to get it.
I just want to do this right without putting 500.00 into a 500.00 machine so i want a good exhaust but realistically my kids and i will probally put ten hours a year on this bike so i dont need some expensive exhaust. The dg's seem to be around 130.00 shipped.
